The other day I said good-bye to my staff that was under me for 3 weeks, and began to train a whole new group for the next few weeks.
The group I had was phenomenal and were a joy to guide throughout the day. I can't thank them enough for the work they did at Cairn Brae. This new group excites me because of the diversity they bring. Three of the girls that I am leading speak English as their second or third language. The culture difference will allow me to grow in so many ways. I only have one more day off before I head home. I cannot believe how fast this experience is flying. I may try to make it into Perth to grab a cup of coffee and read a little bit from my book, "The Seasons on Henry's Farm." August 28, my start date at my next internship at Henry's Farm, is right around the corner. For those who don't know, I am not taking any classes in the upcoming fall. Instead, I'm completing a n internship for my Environmental Studies major (a requirement for graduation). I accepted a position as a farmhand at Henry's Farm, an organic vegetable farm between Carlock, Goodfield, and Eureka. The anticipation to learn new skills in another place is huge and I am so excited for it. 12 more days until I come home. Where did the summer go? Blessings, BH
